STUDENT MINISTRY
WE EXIST TO
Brenneman Student Ministries, BSM, exists to love God, love people, and make disciples. We offer two main times for our 6th-12th grade students to be involved with their peers on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Our Sunday morning time helps the students develop depth in understanding of God and Scripture. On Wednesday nights the students are encouraged to bring their friends to worship, play games, learn a lesson and participate in small groups.
WEDNESDAYS
This is our main time of programming for BSM and runs from 6:30-8:15 during the school year. Each Wednesday the students are led in worship by a group of their peers and get to engage in games before learning a relevant lesson. After the teaching they break off into age and gender specific small groups for discussion, accountability, and fun. Occasionally there are outings and big events that will take place on Wednesday nights in place of normal programming.
TRIPS
BSM participates in district retreats and camps where the students will get to engage with students from other churches and spend time devoted to helping them grow closer to God. In addition, every summer there are mission trips for the students to engage in. Brenneman provides support to help BSM fundraise the money needed to go on mission trips, and teaches how through faith in God along with love for each other, we can accomplish anything.
SERVING
BSM loves to serve! Students serve on Sunday mornings on the worship team, guest services, kid min, tech crew, and help serve communion. We make cards for shut-ins, serve at Prairie Camp, at the Elkhart County Fair, and more. Not only do we share the love of Jesus through these serving opportunities but we learn many new skills that contribute to our own maturity and growth.
