Summer Internship

The summer internship program exists primarily for the growth of our interns. We're far more interested in making this beneficial for you than in what we might get out of it by you being here. We've spent time crafting an internship experience that combines learning from staff, doing the work of the ministry, formation in Christ, and processing what God is doing in you. As Brenneman is a mid-sized church, we also believe you'll get a good experience working on a team and get a grasp of the types of responsibilities you'll have when you get your first ministry job.

This full-time internship is designed for you to gain experience and wisdom in several areas: children's ministry, youth ministry, worship, discipleship, leadership, communication, and pastoral care. Rather than focusing solely on one area of ministry, we want to give you a well-rounded look at service in the local church so you'll be equipped no matter where you end up serving.

Landon Story

I was an intern at Brenneman for about five months. Going into it, I was unsure of what was ahead. I spent most of my time with Pastor Josh. From day one, I saw that he had my internship planned out very well and had everything organized for me. I did not get paid but I gained useful experience and it was life changing. During this time, I and people around me saw that I was maturing in my faith. I was constantly poured into by the church staff and it was clear that God had placed me there for a reason. I learned from reading, conversations, and so much more. But I mostly learned from experience and that is what I needed at the time. To anyone considering an internship at Brenneman, I would say prayerfully consider it. I promise you will gain a group of mentors who constantly pour into you and genuinely care for you and your future. At Brenneman, you will quickly notice the great community of believers who will pour into your life and walk with you in your walk.
